HP Compaq 6710b Wireless QuickLaunch button not working (Fixed)

Posted: January 7th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | 6 Comments »

Salam Guys. After installing Windows 7 on this laptop, everything worked fine on this machine except Wireless Lan. I thought of it as a simple driver problem. So I opened Device Manager. To my surprise, a ‘Broadcam’ Wireless Adapter was already installed under Network Adapters. Then I thought that there must be a button or shortcut key on the keyboard for activating WiFi. After inspecting the whole laptop, I finally found a touch sensor type button above the F4 key. But unexpectedly, after touching the sensor ( even pressing ;) ), there was no response from the computer. Quite depressing!!

Posted: January 7th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Salam guys!

Today I had the oppertunity to install Windows 7 on HP Compaq 6710b Notebook. It has a Core 2 Duo Processor. This machine is big, having 15.4″ screen which makes me uncomfortable to handle. (Coz m addicted to a netbook now days ;) ).

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate using a ‘Kingston’ 4 GB USB Flash Drive. And you wont believe… It took less than 15 minutes for installation.

Later on… I had some Wireless Lan issues with this laptop which I successfully solved later. Click here to read the story…

Subject: Orkut: A social network or illicit network?

Most of the people who use internet are well aware of “Orkut” a social networking website. Oscommerce: My presentation in Ecommerce subject

Posted: December 4th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Class work, institute of computing, Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , | 12 Comments »

Salam fellows!

I’ve been asked by Sir Adnan to present on Oscommerce.  Oscommerce is a online store management software with shopping cart technology and other technologies. It is the most popular open source store management software.

Unusually… this time I gave a lot of time to the design of the presentation slides which I think resulted in my personal satisfaction only.  I’ve learned that only design of the slides are not important. There are other factors too such as calmness, style etc which also need more efforts.

You can download my presentation slides from the link below:

Salam Friends!

I’m sharing with you a very popular poem which was emailed to me today by a very good friend of mine. This poem really helped me out when I very depressed about life (Ya its true!! I too get depressed sometimes ;) ).  If you can’t understand the difficult words then simply click on them for definitions.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace
there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be
on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,
even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real
